KerKem Bookshop is seeking to connect its customers to the world of knowledge and wishes to enter into the Eldoret Market and its environs before the end of 2015. Our value proposition includes ebooks, printed books, elibrary, audio visuals, CDs, DVDs, Picture Books, and Magazines to empower their academic, vocational and spiritual needs. KerKem Bookshop is a family business which is registered under Sole Proprietorship. It is located at the Zion Mall, Uganda Road in Eldoret Town of Uasin Gishu County.

Vision To be the market leader in Book business in the North Rift Region, while excelling in customer service, productivity, profitability and innovations.
Mission KerKem Bookshop exists to connect its customers to the world of knowledge through ebooks, printed books, elibrary, audio visuals, CDs, DVDs, Picture Books, and Magazines to empower them in their academic, vocational and spiritual needs. It will promote reading as the foundation of Learning and therefore Education for a successful and prosperous Africa. Objectives The following are our objectives in the next five years:
- To grow our market reach by at least 20% by the end of the first trading year. nd
- Gain profitability at the end 2 year of trading.
- To grow our business equity by at least 50% by the end of the third year of trading.
Business Growth
In order to thrive and grow, KerKem Bookshop will:
- Maintain a high level of visibility through the media, promotions, and other advertising like social media.
- Establish prudent procedures for cost control and incentives for maintaining tight controls in our finances, in order to become the market leader.
- In order to continually attract customers, we will keep a seamless inventory around the year that will achieve a high level of customer service.
THE PRODUCT/SERVICE
KerKem Bookshop is also available online. In addition to the general public, our major target is university and college libraries, university and college students and professionals doing vocational courses to improve their work skills and pass examinations. We shall also be targeting the middle and high class people of Eldoret town as we are situated in a high class mall in the town. Therefore we shall stock educational products for children as well as graduation gowns. In addition to this we are providing a reading room where our customers can browse through ebooks and our elibrary in the event they are not able to buy the printed book.
We are well connected to the book world and we have suppliers from India, the UK, US and across Africa. We shall need to import some of the products we require, but since we are well connected to the Courier service providers we should have efficient help to transport our goods efficiently.
We are agents of all local Publishers and we are representatives of all major International Book Publishers and Consolidators.
